ART milestones timeline

Your expert for optical tracking

Do you need to virtually map and optimize production processes? Capture and track objects in real time? Detect and fix errors quickly? Advanced Realtime Tracking GmbH & Co. KG (ART) offers extensive object tracking and localization capabilities for a wide range of applications, including custom requirements.

Since 1999, ART has been a leading manufacturer of high-quality optical motion tracking systems for virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR). Typical applications include visualization and optimization in design and production, motion capture for ergonomic studies, and teaching and research projects with powerwalls, CAVEs, and HMDs.

A particular strength of ART is customizing products for niche markets — such as optical tracking solutions to minimize disturbing light influences in multi-sided projection systems and optimized camera sizes for confined tracking areas like vehicle and aircraft cockpits.

Innovation for industrial applications

With new approaches in optics and image processing, ART continuously improves its expertise in advanced object detection and localization solutions.

One resulting application is our localization solution for hand-held tools, VERPOSE®. With VERPOSE®, assembly positions can be identified and assembly processes corrected.

When markers are impractical, ART offers markerless tracking with CAPTA tracking software. Objects are identified and tracked based on parameters such as shape or texture.

All ART products are highly precise, reliable in operation, and customizable. Research, development, and production take place in Germany.

We help you manage complexity

ART is there for you because we believe in the value of personal contact. Share your challenges with us — even if you do not find comparable cases in our use case overview — and we will help you find a suitable solution, including custom adaptations of our standard products.

Established services — calibration, custom targets, DTRACK migration, and VERPOSE® pilot — are grouped under customized solutions.

Made in Germany

All ART products are developed and manufactured in Germany — ensuring high reliability and maximum flexibility for individual customer requirements. The company is located in Weilheim, half an hour south of Munich.
