Guidelines for Suppliers and Service Providers

1 Introduction / Preamble

Advanced Realtime Tracking GmbH & Co. KG is committed to ecologically and socially responsible corporate governance. We expect the same conduct from all our suppliers. We also require our employees to observe and integrate principles of ecological, social and ethical behavior into the corporate culture.

We continuously strive to optimize our business activities, products and services with regard to sustainability and ask our suppliers to contribute to this holistic approach.

This code of conduct is based on national laws and regulations as well as international agreements, including the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, ILO labor standards and the UN Global Compact.

2 Requirements

2.1 Social responsibility

Prohibition of forced labor: No forced labor, slave labor or comparable work may be used. All work must be voluntary.

Prohibition of child labor: Child labor may not be used at any stage of service provision or production. The minimum age shall in no case be below 15 years.

Fair remuneration: Remuneration must meet statutory minimum wages or industry standards. Wage deductions as punishment are not permitted.

Freedom of association: The right of workers to form organizations and conduct collective bargaining must be respected.

Non-discrimination: Discrimination in any form is prohibited, e.g. based on gender, race, disability, religion, age or sexual orientation.

Health and safety: Workplace safety and health protection must be ensured.

Grievance mechanisms: Suppliers shall establish effective grievance mechanisms for affected individuals and communities.

Conflict minerals: Processes in accordance with OECD due diligence guidance for minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas shall be established.

2.2 Environmental responsibility

Wastewater: Wastewater must be monitored, tested and treated before discharge.

Air emissions: Emissions must be monitored and minimized before release.

Waste and hazardous substances: Solid waste shall be systematically reduced, recycled or disposed of responsibly.

Resource consumption: Use and consumption of resources and waste generation shall be reduced.

Energy efficiency: Energy consumption shall be monitored and economical solutions sought to improve efficiency.

2.3 Responsible business conduct

Fair business practices: Standards of fair advertising and competition as well as applicable antitrust laws must be observed.

Data protection: Data protection and information security laws must be complied with when processing personal data.

Intellectual property: Intellectual property rights must be respected.

Integrity: Zero-tolerance policy against bribery, corruption, extortion and embezzlement.

3 Implementation of requirements

We expect our suppliers to identify risks in supply chains and take appropriate measures. In case of suspected violations, suppliers shall promptly inform ART about identified risks and measures taken.
