Setup & Commissioning

Remote or on site: professional setup, configuration, and functional verification for ART tracking systems.

System Setup & Commissioning is intended for customers who want professional assistance with the initial setup, configuration, and functional verification of their ART tracking system.

Depending on requirements, remote guidance or direct assessment of the installation environment on site is available.

Remote System Setup & Commissioning

Professional guidance without an on-site visit — one remote session of up to 2 hours.

Typical activities include:

  • review of the planned system setup and intended application
  • guidance on camera positioning, orientation, and basic mounting requirements
  • support with network connection and initial system configuration
  • verification of camera connectivity and basic system status
  • setup or review of an initial tracking project
  • guidance on target visibility, tracking volume, and basic operating conditions
  • basic functional testing based on information and remote access provided by the customer

Best suited for: Customers who have installed or provisionally positioned the system themselves and require professional guidance during initial commissioning.

What is not included (on site)

  • physical installation or relocation of cameras and system components
  • drilling, construction work, or structural modifications
  • installation or routing of power or network cabling
  • manufacture or modification of mounting structures
  • structured operator or system training
  • customer-specific engineering or software development

If the existing physical installation is not suitable for safe and reliable tracking, ART may identify the issue and provide recommendations. Required mechanical or structural changes remain the customer's responsibility.

Preparation

Successful commissioning depends on adequate preparation of the system and installation environment. For on-site services, use the On-site Service Preparation Checklist (fill in and print as PDF) covering relevant technical, organizational, and site-related prerequisites.

Components or devices that are not available during commissioning cannot be configured, calibrated, or included in functional verification.

Completion and documentation

Configuration and functional checks can be documented using the ART System Setup & Commissioning Acceptance Protocol (remote and on site, with additional checks for on-site services).
